Front tyre
(Preview)
Recommend me one. The trial type maxxis front is just hopeless on the mud as it just doesn't clear the tread. Rear is fine as it spins it off eventually

Harmonics
(Preview)
Never really understood why harmonics (touching a string on a fret key) on a guitar rather then pressing a string to the fret board generate a note that sounds better to my idea? Harmonics any ideas? Hoping someone really knows as it is a great question in my, not often humble, humble opinion Harmonic...

DK Offroad
(Preview)
Happened to be passing Newcastle-Under-Lyme over the weekend and popped in to look at a new bike. The place is amazing with hundreds of old classics for sale, from mopeds to some proper classic enduro, mx and road bikes. Well worth a visit if passing as it's only 15mins off the M6. Breakdown cover
(Preview)
After the drowning of Phil's Katoom and the revelation that he had no breakdown cover it reminded me why me and the missus recently moved one of our accounts to Nationwide Flex plus account. The account currently cost £13 a month which can be a joint account (which then covers you both) but you can offse...

The Lane Of Pain Levelled
(Preview)
For those of you without access to the DTRF forum it seems the notorious Lane of Pain that leads up to the radio mast at Halwell (and is avoided at all costs) has been levelled. This sort of intervention is usually unwelcome, but in this case I say "hallefarkinlujah". Original post was by deci.

Drink driving
(Preview)
A heads up as the police are doing quite a few stop checks and checkpoints this year. Living in a village with a pub is handy as I can walk to the pub and back. Sometimes though I have the reason to need to drive to a pub and then I usually don't drink or make alternative arrangements. Anyway the other night I...

Heatshieldy Stuff for inside plastic bit
(Preview)
Warning: Semi-Sensible Post Follows I'm treating my lovely bike to new plastic bits and stickers. Inside the white plastic bit that covers the exhaust there is some shiny metally stuff, presumably a heat shield to stop the exhaust melting the plastic. It's unlikely to come off easily so, 1, does it...

MX panels and tank

Anyone got any old MX bits lying about they want to get rid? I am after radiator front side panels, front and rear mudguards, rear side panels and by some miracle a fuel tank? Reason is I am now stripping bits of the old KLE with a view to resurrect it as a more dual sport bike but more akin to MX. Don't matter w...

As it's unlikely I will ever own a dirty bike again I therefore have no need to clean and re-oil my own air filters. Garage clearout revealed 2 part used cans of filter cleaner (Putoline and PJ1) and a can of PJ1 filter oil. Free to anyone who wants to collect from my gaff in Shiphay.
