A good source of light installed by a professional tecnichian is also a must.

Check out the old seal PBC could slip his **** in it, no wonder OPEC was on my case.

Guilty as charged minger they are the wife's mitts she does all my maintenance.

Ear Snaffer there was indeed quite an edge on the exhaust valve maybe not enough to shave with but easy peely a potato with it, should I whip it back out and do something?

And Peter bc I know you're trying to influence the judges into not giving me my long overdue award by contaminating my website with twaddle, well I can assure you sir it won't work and see you 8:30 sat for bacon butties😀

 If they're sharp enough to cut they are worn out, have you ever checked/adjusted valve clearances?

I've scraped a load black soot off followed by a layer grey concrete looking stuff.
This is the exhaust one which was by far the worst.

And fear not Sam the chip fat is in the jacket not the bike🍟

Looking good there SC. I usually spin the valves up in a drill and polish off the crud with emery cloth but if you do avoid the valve seat and check that its all good. When you refit the valve stem seals make sure they are seated properly and double check the spring that sits around the top lip of the seal is still in place. Tiny bit of grease on the collets help keep them in place when you refit them wink.
